Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Business Operations works closely with the CFO and other members of the senior leadership team to increase organizational integration and effectiveness, executing on the Foundation’s mission, vision and values with a focus on implementation of the strategic plan. The Director of Business Operations plays a key role in managing projects and information to help the CFO build out the finance and operations teams/systems and to facilitate feedback loops that increase the Foundation’s impact and overall operational effectiveness.

Executive Administration

Develop a thorough understanding of the Foundation and its mission, governance, operations and strategic plan to ensure the highest level of counsel and support to the CFO.
Develop meaningful relationships with members of the senior leadership team and other key internal and external stakeholders that are driving success for the Foundation.
Manage and ensure the timely flow of information and responsiveness to/from the CFO’s office across the various groups within the Foundation, BOD and Committees and with other key external stakeholders.
Draft, edit and summarize high-level correspondence and memoranda for the CFO.
Develop and implement BOD and Committee agendas, discussions, presentations, and materials. Work closely with CEO and Chief of Staff on all Board communications and meetings.
Prepare agendas, slide decks and status updates for CFO-led meetings and presentations.
Serve as the CFO’s liaison at internal and external meetings, as assigned. Brief the CFO on meeting content, outcomes and action items, as needed.
Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support to the CFO.
Project Management and Operations Support

Advise on and support the development of the execution strategy of the Foundation’s Full Potential Plan and underlying annual operating plans, measuring progress against the stated goals and initiatives, success metrics, and execution of results-focused program plans to ensure maximum organizational benefit.
Ensure alignment among cross functional team members and help problem-solve and create engagement, cooperation and hospitality across teams and programs to improve key business processes and deliver business results.
Serves as a change agent and develops a culture of identifying operational pain points and develops recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
Support the review, development and implementation of new processes, procedures, and systems to support management reporting, due diligence, strategic initiatives, collaboration tools and other operational processes.
Work collaboratively with the Innovation and Partnership teams to share insights and support new ideas to advance the Foundation’s social impact priorities, public policy issues and thought leadership goals.
Manage special projects assigned by the CFO to improve financial and operational effectiveness and philanthropic and public policy impact.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business, non-profit management, or related field or equivalent, relevant experience.
10+ years’ experience in organizational or non-profit management experience.
3 years’ supervisory/management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to make sound judgment conclusions based on data available with minimal supervision.
Ability to identify and solve complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive approaches utilizing internal support.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership in the development, monitoring, and successful implementation of organizational operations and strategy;

Demonstrated leadership in board engagement and governance in a large, mission-focused organization.
Demonstrated skill in finance management.
Experience in healthcare field or related settings.
Physical Demand:

Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting/remote environment.
Ability to effectively operate computer equipment.
Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules.
Ability to travel as projects dictate.
Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment.
