Studio Sage, a full-service, state-of-the-art broadcast and green screen studio for the age when content is queen. Specialties include webcasts and webinars, virtual events and conference broadcasts, and corporate and brand videos.
The vMix Operator is responsible for building, facilitating and executing pre-recorded and live programs utilizing the vMix platform. This person must be solution oriented and able to troubleshoot technical issues proficiently.
This position is contracted by project. Start date, hours, and schedule depend on the project.
Build vMix programs based on provided ROS and creative assets
Execute pre-record or live programs utilizing vMix
Facilitate single or multiple speakers and panels (up to 5) through the vMix platform
Troubleshoot any bandwidth or firewall issues that may occur with the platform
Troubleshoot any system issues with hardware running vMix
Manage streaming and encoding to multiple destinations
Management of both video switching and audio levels simultaneously in vMix
Understanding and ability to utilize all features of vMix
Proficiency in configuration of system settings to match specific project need
Proficiency in managing 3 to 4 audio buses and solo communications to remote presenters
Creation of signal flow for integration of vMix machines into Primary control room video switcher
Identify asset needs defined by the ROS and content trackers
Address redundancy and contingency workflow plans
Ability to understand and organize provided graphic assets with the vMix platform
Proficiency in use of stream decks and vMix triggers
Clear and consistent communication with producer
Maintains professional communication with team members and client contacts
Expertise in routing video and audio components to third party conference software
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
6 months+ experience with live events, virtual events or broadcasting
1 year+ experience using vMix software
Experience using stream deck
Experience with pre-recording and broadcasting multiple speakers and panels
Experience orchestrating vMix within the workflow of a full production team
Expertise in managing vMix as a sole operator
Proficient in using GSuite is a plus
Ability to multitask and host more than one role at a time for a project
Knowledge of streaming technology and encoding
Ability to be flexible and agile with project changes and needs
Intuition for show calling and transitions within program feeds
