At Everlane we are product lead.  We are building a first-class design team, and we are currently looking to fill a Senior Designer position that will focus on Color, Pattern and Concept across Women’s, Men’s and our Accessories divisions. You must be obsessed with color,  passionate about pattern, and closely connected to culture and the arts to inform your work in concept.

At Everlane we are famous for color.  Creating the newest new neutral and unexpected hue and instinctively giving our consumer what they want just before they realize they want it.  You will be responsible for building on this reputation by creating the seasonal color palette and pattern expression,  attributing color to style and all subsequent activities necessary to bring the color and pattern vision to life in bulk production.  This role will report into the Lead Designer for Women’s Wovens and will have one direct report to support.

Your day-to-day:

  • Conduct seasonal color, pattern and concept research
  • Create and develop the seasonal color palettes for all divisions
  • Create and develop pattern work for all divisions
  • Create seasonal mood boards to support color direction
  • Support Lead Designer and VP of Design with the seasonal attribution of color to style
  • Communicate and collaborate with Raw Materials and Production teams to ensure all lab dips and strike offs are approved for bulk within the desired timeframe
  • Collaborate with Merchandising partners to build a seasonal knowledge of color selling, apply this knowledge when creating future palettes to drive the business forward
  • Manage 1 direct report to ensure that all activities relating to color and pattern achieved on time

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or closely related design field
  • 4+ years of experience developing print and pattern with a functional knowledge of attributing color and pattern to fabric/fibre/yarn
  • Exacting eye for color and pattern with an innate sense of trend
  • The desire to work on a collaborative and diverse team that is dedicated to doing good for the planet and the consumer
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach to challenges
  • Superior color score on the Munsell Hue Test – Test to be conducted during interview
