The Charleston Hub is seeking several outstanding candidates with top notch communication and customer service skills who reside in or near the Charleston, SC area to help prepare for and help attendees at a conference in Charleston from November 9 -15th.

We have the following 16 short-term, temporary Registration Desk Staff positions available:

7 open positions from Saturday, 11/9/24 – Thursday, 11/14/24
3 open positions from Saturday, 11/9/24 – Friday, 11/15/24
1 open position from Monday, 11/11/24 – Friday, 11/15/24
5 open positions from Tuesday, 11/12/24 – Thursday, 11/14/24
The required work hours for each day are described below:

Saturday and Sunday, 11/9/24 and 11/10/24: Approx. 8 hours each day from 9:00am – 5:00pm
Monday, 11/11/24: Approx. 10 hours from 9:00am – 7:00pm
Tuesday, 11/12 – Thursday, 11/14: 12 hours per day from 7:00am – 7:00pm
Friday, 11/15: 9 hours per day from 8:00am – 5:00PM
Eligible candidates must be able to:

Work on-site in Charleston, SC for the days, times and hours of work required above
Arrive to work on time and demonstrate dependability and reliability
Follow instructions and take direction well, complete tasks in a timely manner, and meet productivity standards
Stand or sit for long periods of time and be able to change work locations by either walking to locations that are approx. 10-15 minutes away or taking a shuttle bus between locations
Lift and move objects which weigh 30-40 pounds
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Possess strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly in a friendly manner and with diplomacy and professionalism
Demonstrate strong initiative and work with a sense of urgency and with a positive, can-do attitude
Quickly adapt and demonstrate flexibility with changing responsibilities, circumstances and work locations
Work well with others in a team environment and treat others with respect and consideration
Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
Report to work wearing business casual attire
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Helping with packing conference bags and inserting materials provided by sponsors, focusing on details to ensure correct materials are placed in bags
Providing superior customer service by helping conference attendees pickup their conference packets and distributing conference materials and information to them
Folding tee-shirts
Assisting at the hotel information desk providing information in a clear and professional manner
Assisting with vendor showcase booth set up and break down
The hourly pay rate for this position will be $15/hour.
