Research Assistant – 532310

 

Job Summary:

Assists the project coordinator and other research investigators by administering research instruments to subject participants in person and via phone according to established protocols. Assists with the coordination of participant recruitment, data collection and management, and scheduling of assessment and treatment sessions.

Coordinates with families to schedule informed consent visits and other research appointments.
Conducts initial screenings with referred families to describe the study and identify families who are potentially eligible to proceed.
Assists with data collection. Sends study surveys to parents and teachers. Follows-up with parents and teachers to ensure completion of surveys. Administers questionnaires over the phone as needed. Administers research assessments to participating children according to established protocols. Picks up completed ratings from participating schools.
Assists the program manager in following-up with schools about the status of referred students.
Assists the program manager with recruitment. Attends recruitment events to share information with parents and school personnel.
Organizes paper work and collects data from participants during assessment visits. Verifies all completed forms and contacts families to clarify information and collect missing information.
Provides support to the Program Manager, Principal Investigator, and Clinicians in preparing materials for assessments and treatment sessions.
Compiles, processes, and analyses data; records research procedures and results; files and maintains records; codes data for input for electronic data processing; inputs and retrieves data using computers.
Completes study-related tracking files and data entry using web-based input protocols.
Assists investigators with preparation of study reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
Distributes gift cards to study participants. Maintains accurate gift card distribution logs and assists the Program Manager with preparing gift card reconciliation reports on a monthly basis.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma with three (3) years of experience; OR two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

 

Salary: $31,200 – $35,000

 

Work Schedule:

Begin time: 8:30 AM
End time: 5:00 PM

Other Information:

Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Ability to travel locally
This is a time limited appointment which may be terminated at any time with 30 days’ notice.
