The Student Engagement Account Manager is responsible for helping support the Enterprise Solutions Specialist in their efforts to increase sales of iClicker, student retention solutions and institution-based solutions, including hardware and software products, within an assigned territory of two and four-year accounts. Primary responsibilities include supporting Enterprise Solutions Specialists by retaining existing customers, initiating sales engagement with potential customers, generating leads for new business and providing support to new and existing customers. The Student Engagement Account Manager will occasionally travel to campus to promote student retention solutions and institution-based solutions at key accounts and conduct presentations, training sessions and events, as needed, in collaboration with the Enterprise Solutions Specialist virtually and in person. This role does not have managerial responsibilities.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Proactively contact existing customers to retain/roll existing business at the course level.
Conduct virtual sales presentations, as needed.
Execute virtual sales demos.
Support assigned territory with an inside sales approach.
Drive growth of student pay accounts within the territory.
Lead generation, prospecting and sales engagement for takeaway opportunities.
Daily follow-up on leads from “New Account Creation Report” and marketing leads.
Follow-up on closed/lost opportunities in Macmillan courses to promote standalone iClicker sales and with Achieve adopters for utilizing iClicker within Achieve.
Work closely with Enterprise Solutions Specialist on account collaboration, growing usage under student pay and site licenses, determining account specific sales strategy, and territory trend analysis.
Utilize CRM, available data, and our sales engagement tool to execute inside sales campaigns, review customer data, update sales information and enter activity.
Enter sales related events in CRM in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions Specialist to generate leads, conduct account research, support customers and develop team-based sales strategies.
Partner with marketing, product and client services to develop successful strategies designed to gain market share.
Provide ongoing research and feedback on classroom technology trends to stakeholders, including sales, marketing and product teams.
Execute virtual sales training.
Supplement training efforts of Enterprise Solutions Specialists and Client Relationship Specialists, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Inside Sales Experience.
Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email and conduct virtual product demonstrations.
Collaborative attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enterprise sales experience.
Higher Education Publishing or equivalent experience with proven track record.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000/year
Exemption Status: Exempt
Physical Requirements:
Requires periods of close concentration, must be able to multitask, must be able to walk up to 2 miles a day on campus, must be able to sit/stand for long periods at a desk or conventions, must be able to concentrate in noisy/busy environment, and must be able to travel, including ability to drive for periods from 2 to 5 hours, depending upon the territory involved. A valid driver’s license is required with occasional travel within territory and overnight trips. Attendance at national sales meetings and regional meetings is required (5 or more days). During the fall and spring selling seasons it is necessary to work more than 40 hours per week.
The position is eligible for remote employment, excluding the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming.
