Investment Operations Analyst

Join the WARF investment team to manage investment operations and enable the efficient and effective delivery of performance sufficient to meet the mission and financial objectives of WARF and related client portfolios. The Investment Operations Analyst performs a wide range of duties related to the reporting of funds and performance of a $3B endowment, general operations of the investment department, including accounting and administration.  This position will demonstrate WARF’s values of innovation, teamwork, and accountability, working collaboratively with our Deputy CIO, Investment Director, OCIO, custodians, overlay provider, and WARF’s finance team.

In this role, you’ll be empowered and accountable for:

·         Monitoring external accounts and contracts, processing security transactions, completing paperwork, updating databases, maintaining records, and providing administrative coordination.

·         Interfacing with OCIO, custodian, overlay provider, and finance team, regarding activity involving portfolio cash flows and valuations.

·         Accurate and timely preparation of investment portfolio reports, internal private equity portfolio reports, and custodian generated reports in coordination with other investment staff; generate models and presentations, serve as back-up to team in production of reports as needed.

·         Conducting subscription and redemption activities of external investment management accounts including the coordination of cash flows, assisting in the completion of necessary legal documentation, and notification of appropriate parties.

·         Processing of private equity capital calls and distributions within the portfolio; also responsible for handling the sale of distributed securities.

·         Coordinating with internal functions of the investment department and other internal departments like finance, information technology and administration, as well as with third parties including but not limited to custodian and external managers.  Maintaining a working knowledge of investments, securities processing, and information technology requirements.

·         Maintaining outside and internal databases and manage relationships with outside database vendors; maintain files and a contact database on all providers to the investment portfolio, including OCIO, custodian and consultants.

You’ll be off to a great start if you demonstrate:

·         Experience in investment operations environment or equivalent field, including working knowledge of investment and accounting concepts and terminology; and demonstrated knowledge of basic legal contracts related to investment management.

·         Experience working with portfolio management and password management systems, generating models and reports using data analytics and spreadsheets with the ability to learn organization-specific programs and systems.

·         Teamwork through the ability to effectively communicate and build trust across identities of key partners.

·         Innovation through excellent problem-solving capabilities, integrating diverse views, finding meaningful alternatives, and settling differences in productive ways.

·         Accountability to follow through on commitments, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage sensitive and financial information with confidentiality.

·         At least a high school diploma required. Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in finance or related business field preferred, or equivalent experience.
