Macmillan Learning is seeking an energetic candidate who brings enthusiasm and vitality to our Student Engagement Account Manager, Team Lead role. The Team Lead for the Student Engagement Account Managers is responsible for supporting efforts and initiatives of the Specialist Manager, helping support the Enterprise Solutions Specialists in their efforts to increase sales of iClicker, student retention solutions and institution based solutions, and drive course-level sales, within an assigned territory of two and four-year accounts. Primary responsibilities include supporting Enterprise Solutions Specialists, retaining existing customers in conjunction with the Client Relationship Specialists, initiating sales engagement with potential customers, generating leads for new business and providing demos and training to new and existing customers at the course level. The Student Engagement Account Manager will occasionally travel to campus to conduct presentations, training sessions and events, as needed and in collaboration with the Enterprise Solutions Specialists, Client Relation Specialists and Macmillan Learning sales team. This role does not have managerial responsibilities.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Proactively contact existing customers to retain/roll existing business at the course level.
Increase student pay course usage and revenue.
Support assigned territory with an inside sales approach.
Lead generation and sales engagement for takeaway opportunities.
Daily follow-up on leads from “New Account Creation Report”.
Follow-up on closed/lost opportunities in Macmillan courses to promote standalone iClicker sales.
Execute virtual sales presentations.
Work closely with Enterprise Solutions Specialist and Client Relationship Specialists on account collaboration to research and identify key contacts.
Qualify leads from marketing and Partner Reps.
Collaborate with Specialist Manager to identify, outline and execute inside sales campaigns for the Student Engagement Specialist Partners.
Serve as the expert for inside sales activities by mentoring, sharing best practices and providing feedback to the Specialist Manager.
Provide mentorship to the Student Engagement Account Managers through weekly meetings.
Utilize CRM to gather data, report results and consult with Specialist Manager on campaign effectiveness.
Utilize CRM and sales enablement platforms to execute inside sales campaigns, review customer data, update sales information and enter activity.
Submit timely Trip Reports after campus visits.
Collaborate and communicate with Enterprise Solutions Specialist to generate leads, conduct account research, support customers and develop team-based sales strategies.
Partner with marketing, product and client services to develop successful strategies designed to gain market share.
Provide ongoing research and feedback on classroom technology trends to stakeholders, including sales, marketing and product teams.
Execute virtual sales training.
Supplement training efforts of Enterprise Solutions Specialists, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree.
Minimum 2 year inside sales experience or equivalent experience with proven track record.
Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email and conduct virtual product demonstrations.
Strong interpersonal skills, energetic, and a positive attitude.
Collaborative attitude.
Training experience.
Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Enterprise sales experience.
Saas sales experience.
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000/year

Exemption Status: Exempt

Physical Requirements:

Requires periods of close concentration, must be able to multitask, must lift 35 lbs. of books on sales calls, must be able to walk up to 2 miles a day on campus, must be able to sit/stand for long periods at conventions, must be able to concentrate in noisy/busy environment, and must be able to travel, including ability to drive for periods from 2 to 5 hours, depending upon the territory involved. A valid driver’s license is required with daily travel within territory and frequent overnight trips. Attendance at national sales meetings and regional meetings is required (5 or more days). During the fall and spring selling seasons it is necessary to work more than 40 hours per week. During these seasons it is necessary to spend all day on campus and then complete paperwork, sampling, and expense reports in the evening.
